Discipline Tip: Praise More

Do you ever have those days, or weeks even, when it seems like your kid is constantly testing boundaries? When they are saying “no” to everything you ask?  Blatantly ignoring your calls or requests. Arguing with everything you say.  When this happens, we as parents often fall into a rut ourselves. We get stuck in “reprimand mode.”  Patience is gone and it seems like we’re living in “time outs.” It’s those times when it seems like nothing you’re doing is getting through. It’s the worst. Meet Megan, Mom of Twins

Describe yourself~

I’m a mom of two; yes they are twins, no they are not identical, one is a boy and one is a girl, yes my hands are full, and we don’t know if we are done yet. My husband says we got the two for one special with the twins. I can’t imagine tackling parenthood with anyone else but him. If we go for a hike and take a break every 5 yards to explore stuff and only end up “hiking” the length of a football field, it will just have to do. Read more

Who Has Time?

After our blog “went live” we’ve had such a fun response. When I’ve spoken to other mamas face to face in the last couple days since, I have had a few inquire about time. One asked, where do you find the time?! My answer was quick and simple: my house is messier than yours! IMG_1698 Read more

Welcome to Our Blog

We started this blog back in January. We learned how to write code, host a domain, and what widgets are. (Just kidding about a few of those, faking the computer skills a little.) But we have learned about tech stuff, worked together with and without kids, in the evenings when we should probably be sleeping. This is something that we are proud of. We have so much more to share: the words and wisdom of our village.  Read more
